Puppy Rayn and Friends™ is a kidSAFE™ certified comic strip and website, dedicated to presenting conflict and complex situations in an enjoyable and easy to understand pieces of sequential art known as the comic strip!

This magical puppy has friends from all walks of life, such as the Desert Elf who teaches him magic, named Nice Sylphe! Or King Henry, a man whose family hailed from the Southern Continent, and became king of the land through the will of the people! He learns the importance of eating right from Centaur Sylvia, and plays and has fun with Chaz the Cat (who loves puns).

With a focus on education, Puppy Rayn™ is set up to teach children another language through interactive activity sheets featuring the comics.

With all kinds of variety, these worksheets engage children and young at heart with word games, match em ups and puzzles!

The coloring and activity sheets have also been a big success at conventions and as trick or treat gifts during Halloween! These packets and crayons were met with enthusiasm by kids who love to do activities while chomping down on a once a year candy treat!

In addition, Puppy Rayn™ also has a simple but well received free game on Amazon called People Bingo, and features easy to understand rules of the abstract strategy game Tora™! With funding we wish to pursue partnerships with educational, social and safety institutions to broaden our reach and brighten the lives of children everywhere, regardless of language or culture!

You can find samples of Puppy Rayn™ at http://www.puppyrayn.com!

Tora™

is an Abstract Strategy boardgame featuring the Tiger-Girl – Konekomimi (from Puppy Rayn and Friends) as the mascot.

“Abstract Strategy” games rely on the conceptual understanding of navigating through obstacles in order to reach your goal. “Abstract Strategy” It is a game or process of playing that lacks a specific theme (compare non abstract strategy games such as Mouse Trap or Monopoly to abstract strategy games such as GO or Chess).

These games have long been observed to increase numerous aspects of an individual’s ability to reason and solve problems. While no direct studies have been made on Tora™ itself, we’ve observed an exciting change appear in the faces of its players, as they engage in a battle of strategy to win the day! It’s as if a light ignited in their mind, similar to the same kind of energy witnessed in those who play Chess, GO or Chinese Chess! We have no doubt that Tora™ is as directly beneficial to those who play as Chess, GO or Chinese Chess.

We’ve had a successful kickstarter, and patent applications in the US and AUS. It’s also covered by copyright in 6 languages, with more pending. Our plans include, but are not limited to: tournaments, collector’s sets and videogames. Click here to visit the official website: http://www.toraboardgame.com

Imagine a world filled with magic, ruled by Giants who took what they wanted, and laid waste to everything they saw! When disaster hit, they left for the stars, leaving a magical race of people to defend and cure the mess they left behind. The Gigans promised to return when the world was healed, causing strong political divisions with the custodial race. It’s been over 100 years since the Gigans have gone, and the island nation of magically endowed people are faced with their pressing return. Plants, animals and insects have since thrived, granting them an enlarged presence on the planet. These enlarged and now giant animals, have resulted in avianators who ride the backs of hawks, and squirrels who are used as pack mules.

What will the people on the Island of Geb do? Will they try to explore the planet, and stop the return of the Gigans? Will they prepare it for the return? Or will they keep the planet in a state of disaster to discourage the Giants’ return?

The GEB Series is a fantasy world where magic is used and employed as a science, and they use this to uncover knowledge in how the natural world works. With an intensive world building foundation behind it, the book series serves to engulf its readers in the exoticism of another land, while bringing real world science and social struggles to the forefront of the plot!

In addition, unlike so many other properties, GEB encourages readers to directly participate! Write their own stories, draw pictures, help with voting on what should happen, while also taking up residency as residents of the volcanic island!

We’ve already run a small, but successful, crowdfunding test run on Patreon and Kickstarter, and are looking toward mutually beneficial partnerships (such as with schools, libraries, museums, etc…) to further increase our impact on supporting educational goals and conservational awareness. You can read about the world building aspects on our public wikia site found here: TheGEBSeriesWiki
